Atalanta comeback keeps Bologna in danger

Bologna's forward Marco Di Vaio scoredin their 2-2 tie with Atalanta on Wednesday.

Atalanta fought back from 2-0 down to grab a 2-2 draw and keep Bologna hovering above the Serie A relegation trapdoor on Wednesday.

A brace from former Italy forward Marco Di Vaio gave Bologna a 2-0 lead and had the score stayed that way they would have moved six points clear of the drop zone.

Instead, goals from Thomas Manfredini and Javier Chevanton earned the away side a share of the spoils from a match that was postponed in December due to bad weather.

Atalanta remain in the relegation zone in 18th, one place and three points behind Bologna.

In the day's other game, Bari held Genoa to a 1-1 draw to ensure both sides stay in the hunt for a Europa League place.

Bari are two points behind sixth-placed Palermo with Genoa one point further back.

Paulo Barreto gave visitors Bari a fourth minute lead but Omar Milanetto equalised eight minutes after the break.
