Bayern can't afford to relax: Van Bommel

Bayern Munich captain Mark van Bommel says the German giants can ill afford to relax even with the Bundesliga title virtually secured, but the German Cup and Champions League titles finals still to come.
Bayern's 3-1 win over Bochum last Saturday means they have a three-point lead over second-placed Schalke and a vastly superior goal difference going into Saturday's final game of the season at Hertha Berlin.
Van Bommel is set to lift the Bundesliga shield at Berlin's Olympic Stadium on Saturday, but Bayern still have the Champions League final against Inter Milan on May 22 and the German Cup final against Werder Bremen on May 15.
"We mustn?t take our foot off the gas," warned Van Bommel.
"If we ease up now, we?ll never pick up speed again."
Bayern have never won the treble of Champions League/European Cup, Bundesliga and German Cup titles, but Dutch coach Louis van Gaal is now just three games away from achieving the feat in his first season.
"We haven't won anything yet," said Van Gaal with the Bundesliga title only officially set to be decided on Saturday.
"I?ve already said we?ll celebrate all our trophies once the season is over," said self-confessed 'party animal' Van Gaal, who gave his players two days off at the start of the week as a reward.
