Bridge ready for Terry showdown says Given

Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given insists team-mate Wayne Bridge is in the right frame of mind to face John Terry and Chelsea on Saturday despite turning his back on England.
Bridge ruled himself out of England's World Cup plans on Thursday after releasing a statement that claimed his position was "untenable and potentially divisive".
The move comes after newspaper allegations about Terry's alleged affair with Bridge's former partner Vanessa Perroncel, which led to the Chelsea defender being stripped of the England captaincy by national team coach Fabio Capello.
Bridge will come up against Terry for the first time since news of the scandal broke when City travel to Stamford Bridge this weekend and Given expects the left-back to rise to the occasion.
"He's fine and he's looking forward to the game and hopefully getting a good result," Given said.
"It's a massive game for everyone at the club, including Wayne. Shaun Wright-Phillips is going back to his old club as well and they are both looking forward to it."
Asked if he was surprised by Bridge's decision, Given said: "It's a personal thing for Wayne and a private one and I don't really want to comment on that situation.
"He is fine, Wayne Bridge is totally fine and he is looking forward to the game on Saturday and hopefully getting a good result for Manchester City, that's the most important thing."
