CSKA Moscow manager Leonid Slutsky said he would send out his players to play aggressive football in Tuesday's return Champions' League quarter-final with Inter Milan.

"We have no other choice but to score in the upcoming match," Slutsky told a press conference. "We should play much more aggressive style."

"However, we should keep in mind that we should not allow Inter to score any more goals. That means we should keep a very correct balance between our attack and defence."

Inter lead 1-0 from the first leg while CSKA are the first Russian side to make the last eight.

"The result is the most important thing at this stage of the tournament," Slutsky added. "If we manage to clinch a positive result I will be happy even if we fail to show spectacular football on Tuesday."

Slutsky added that he was thinking that the synthetic pitch at Moscow's Luzhniki stadium would not have any serious influence on the outcome.

"I consider that the pitch will not have any effect. I saw many matches at this stadium and never had a feeling that the pitch affects the play - neither at CSKA matches nor at the matches of any other team."
