Fiorentina set to take Keirrison on loan from Barcelona

Serie A side Fiorentina said on Sunday they are set to sign Barcelona's Brazilian forward Keirrison on a two-season loan with an option for a permanent move.
Fiorentina, who need to reinforce their attack after Romanian star Adrian Mutu's provisional suspension for failing drugs tests, said on their website (it.violachannel.tv) that the transfer will be completed if the player passes a medical on Monday.
"It's one player more, which we need at the moment," said Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli, whose side are fighting on three fronts - Serie A, the last 16 of the Champions League and the Italian Cup semi-finals.
The 21-year-old has spent the first half of the season on loan at Benfica.
Fiorentina, 11th in Serie A after Sunday's 2-2 draw at Cagliari, wanted to sign Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria but the talented forward, who has had tense relations with coach Luigi Del Neri recently, decided to stay with the Genoa outfit.
