Hiddink set for Turkey job: reports

Russia's national soccer team head coach Guus Hiddink plays with a ball during his team?s training session in Maribor, some 150 kilometers from capital Ljubljana, in 2009. The Dutchman is set to take over as the new manager of the Turkish national side, according to press reports.

Hiddink has already made it clear that he will step down as coach of Russia when his contract expires on June 30 and the Sabah newspaper reported that he will sign a four-year contract with Turkish football officials in Istanbul on Friday.

The much-travelled handler already has experience of working in Turkey having been coach of Istanbul club side Fenerbahce in the 1990/91 season.

Turkey failed to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa this year and have turned their attentions to qualifying for Euro 2012.
