Kaka unhappy with performances for Real

Real Madrid's Brazilian star Kaka said he was unhappy with his performances since arriving last summer, but blamed injuries for his lack of form.

"I'm not happy with my performances, but it's all physical. I suffered a lot since I got injured," he said.

"When I'm good physically, my performance will improve, I'll be happy and the fans too," he told a news conference on Tuesday.

The midfielder has found goals hard to come by since arriving from AC Milan last summer for 65 million euros and has been accused of failing to replicate the form that made him the FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007.

But on Saturday, he ended a six-week injury absence by grabbing the winner for Real Madrid in a 2-1 victory over Zaragoza.

Kaka said he injured his left thigh during a practice session on March 13.

He was denying rumours that he had suffered a recurrence of a hernia that sidelined him for several weeks last year, and that he was hurt during Real's defeat by Lyon in the last 16 of the Champions League on March 10.

He also shrugged off whistles and jeers that were directed at him during the Lyon match.

"I have been whistled many times. They did it in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with Milan ... it happens to all players. The fans are very emotional. When things do not go well in a game, sometimes the players who are the most important to them, are criticised," he said.

The 28-year-old said that "at no time" had he thought of leaving Real, saying "my best time in this club is yet to come".

He said it will be a "disappointment" if Real, who are just one point behind leaders Barcelona in the Primera Liga, fail to win the title this season, but said "next year will be much better as the players will know each other more."
